Ever hear of a man what can't die, but ain't cursed? That's Devil Bones. Captain Roger 'Devil' Bones. Made a pact with dark spirits, he did. Long as he burns the ships and crew he comes across in his travels after he takes what he wants, he can't die. He got caught once, and they hanged him. Didn't take. Bled him dry. T'were for naught. So they cut him up, and still he just pieced himself back together. Finally, they burned him alive. He brushed the ashes off his shoulders like snowflakes, his skin untouched by the roaring flames. Tried everything, did they, but still he sails. Taking his share and burning what's left behind. Captain Devil Bones.

The bodies float on streams of blood,
We All Fall Down.
The children dying in the flood,
We All Fall Down.
The mothers weeping tears of ash,
We All Fall Down.
Grieving for the shattered past,
We All Fall Down.
The fathers dead and buried, gone,
We All Fall Down.
The rats and vermin carrying on,
We All Fall Down.
Through broken dreams and scattered love,
We All Fall Down.
We pray for mercy from above,
And All Fall Down.

In the night of the eternal rest,
the world of life is but a jest.
A restless place that world of Light,
that fills us with the deepest spite.
It never gives us half a chance,
and all it does is spin and dance.

See No Evil

1 min read
They see evil in my mind,
but I see so much more.
I see sorrow, pain, and rage.
What they see is unsure.
They do not have a right to judge,
because I see them, too.
And what I see, I do not judge,
for all have paid their due.
